Being a grammar nazi is ok when it comes to writing; however, grammar is constantly evolving ( Old English - Middle English - Modern English? - ) the purpose of learning a language is being able to communicate. If you want to become a writer, hell yeah, be a grammar nazi, its cool; otherwise, let it be.
