sorry but in some degree increased the size of the empire, he added a massive chunk to the Republic, and was a great General above the league of Alexander, and Hannibal, its thanks to Caesar that Europe is so Romanised as it is.?

My readings indicate that Caesar was no hero. He was a schemer, a bully, full of himself and boundlessely ambitious. An intelligent and successful army commander and no? doubt a great figure in history but no hero!
