She has gone out means she is not here, right? She is gone? means she is dead?

Because it is a past action which is true now (past action with present result.) If someone phones me and asks for my wife,? but she is not at home, I say 'sorry, she has gone out', because she's NOT at home. If someone kicks you off the chess table, then you HAVE BEEN KICKED off the chess table, because you are not there at the moment of speaking. If you do your homework, and show it to the teacher, we often say 'I have done my homework - look, here it is!'.Again,past action with present result
