In "at eight", "eight" should be stressed, because it is a number. I don't think it be linked to the at? t.

Hi Rachel,? I have trouble figuring out the T BEFORE an "s" as in the plural form of a noun or third-person present tense of a verb. Can you help me? EG1. I have 3 carpeTs. --> stop T (rule 3) and then produce an "s" sound EG2. I have 3 carpeTs in my house. --> stop T (rule 3) and the "s" is linked to "in" EG3. I wanT it. --> flap T (rule 2), ALSO silent T to give "I wanit" (unofficial lazy pronounciation) EG4. He meeTs the schedule. --> stop T (rule 3) and then produce the "s" before "the"

You can think of there being just one T at the beginning of 'time'? -- but make sure you really link! Say this phrase as if it were just 1 word.
