Hi! This is the kind of question I welcome on the forum on my website. PROCEED is a rather formal verb. You can "proceed with something" as in, "They proceeded with their development plans." You can also "proceed to do something" as in, "The police officer asked the driver to? step out, and then he proceeded to search the vehicle." The airport could also make an announcement and ask all passengers on Flight 321 to proceed to Gate B for boarding. There are other uses, but these are most common. :)
