I have none famous writer because everyone have something to give you when you read him for example you are a good writer if your speech was on a paper and i was reading it. Cheers from Athens!!?

It is so Great! I'm just looking for a way how to improve my English and I thought it would be useful to use poetry for this purpose. I want to use audio version of poems with paper one. It would be so wonderful if you could advise? me a few poets with good, sophisticated, modern English. Thank you very much!

Chaucer is mix french and bokmal.Very unusual.From the? british I like the most Maugham, Sterne -Tristram Shandy, Wilde-DeProfundis...By the way , you have the appearance of heroines of Maugham.In my opinion.It s not a compliment.Just the fact.There is wonderful translation Chaucer in russian.thanks for your declamation.

No, it wasn't I'm afraid. I don't know what was off the top of my head but I do know that the Old English poem, Beowulf, pre-dates Chaucer's Middle English one by nearly 500 years. I don't think Chaucer's was even the first one in print. Where did you do your English Literature? degree?
