NO WAY! It's always been the Persian Gulf. Just see some historic maps around yourself,? you would see that it's always been and always will be the Persian Gulf.

Thank you very much for telling me! THIS IS A PERFECT reason to master English and tell the world about your country, culture and geography. If you look on Google Maps, which of course is made by an American? country, they call it the Persian Gulf. South Korea has the SAME problem. They call the "Sea of Japan" the "Sea of Korea". But Google (and America) still calls it the Sea of Japan. Please don't be insulted, be encouraged and determined to educate people around the world!!

Hi...Coach Shane it's not the Persian Gulf ,? But it is the Arabic Gulf , Iran Used to call it the Persian Gulf , but it's for Arab and Name Arabic Gulf.
