Actually it would be helpful to name a continuous tense Present Continuous/Progressive... Present Tense (simple) would have been: I go to the store (every day). If? you write a progressive tense without calling it a progressive tense, that causes confusion.

I go to the store = present simple, I am going to the store = present continuous/progressive. Sorry for? the error.
