Lesson 1 EASY Mr. Thompson is a big man and he talks very loudly. He always drives a large truck to work. His truck uses a lot of gasoline. Because of the high cost of gas, he does not have much money for other things. He cannot afford to buy new clothes or go on vacations. He works every day for 10 hours to pay for his truck. Some people think he is not smart but Mr. Thompson is well known in town anyway. DIFFICULT Mr. Thompson is monumental in size, boisterous in manner. A day never passes without him piloting his grandiose truck to his place of employment. However, his truck is a gas-guzzler. Due to the exorbitant cost of gas, he lacks sufficient funds for other necessities. Purchases of clothing or vacation time are out of the question. His daily routine consists of 10 hours of labor simply to afford his vehicle. Some people question his intelligence but regardless Mr. Thompson is famous in the community.
