Oh, no consensus -- just that no scientific institution of national or international standing maintains a dissenting view about the theory of man caused global warming. but there WAS A medieval warm period where temps were hotter even than now, and there was a Roman warm period before then. and in the dark ages it was cold, the rhine freezing solid in 405 AD and? a little ice age from 1350 to about 1800. culture continued to grow in this latter cool period because it had the critical mass to continue, but before then cold periods meant falls into barbarism. climate has EVERYTHING to do with it, refuting current AGW madness
