IELTS Listening Practice: Medical Net
The listening questions and definitions of difficult words can be downloaded from: www.myenglishexam.com/ListenPDF/8_MedicalNet.pdf The talk you will listen to is similar to what you will hear in the IELTS Listening Exam. Someone is talking about doctors and their use of the Internet. Answer the questions on the screen while you listen. In the second half of the video the recording will be played again, but with the words of the talk and the answers appearing as you listen.

My mistake - it says "web site". Do you know what the website? is? It's not the same as having web presence. "Have a web site" means you have your own website. That's how I understand it :)

I have no idea what you are saying - it does not say web page? in the question block.

Okey, looks like I understand what you meant, but for me web site means having your? own website, and not just facebook or some other web profile :)

Exactly, but how why does that? mean same as "have a web page" which is the 6th answer? For me having a web presence =/= having a web site.

'Having a web presence' does not in this context mean simply to use the internet to browse or check email. 'Having a presence' is? to make yourself known and prominent to others - or promotion. The obvious answer must be 'website' (blogs, Facebook are other types of web presence).

How is "having? a web presence" means same as "having a web site"? I think this answer is confusing.
