Hi! To make the /?/, the tip of your tongue is between your teeth. This is different from the /d/ & /v/ sounds. To start? the /d/ sound, the tip of your tongue touches the top of your mouth. To start the /v/ sound, your top teeth touches your bottom lip. So, you can say that the /?/ sound is halfway between the /d/ & /v/ sounds! = )

Hi Melanie , I have a question about ? sound . It's a fricative but what is the mechanism of making it . Is it as i was making d beetwen my teeth and tongue , or rather as v? beetwen teeth and tongue ? It seems to me that it's very similar sound but i want to be sure about it .
