?? ... I'm missing something here. I was just trying to make a factual point about the word "steward" with absolutely no judgmental implications and you answer me by implying that words used in the 60's and 70's were biased as with the word "negro" or nigger (which were already outdated at the time, they're from the 50's and before...). Then again one may question the habit of using words that? try to escape reality "hard of hearing' / deaf ; "deceased" / dead ; "household help" / maid ... etc.

One other thing is sure too, though: In the 60's and 70's the word "negro" was used by everyone, too...?

I guess that steward / stewardess was originally the english equivalent of the american flight attendant ... But then I may be wrong. One thing is sure though : steward / stewardess were used? in the plane industry in the 60' and 70's ...

"geeky, fanboyish (if that's a real word) or too sensitive"? Nope,? I don't think so. Just correct. Learning English the right way is not a "waste of time" but a matter of principle. But seeing your English skills tells me you don't care about being correct. Apparently, it's all about the price or the freebees for you...
