Scientists: Mars is perfect for farming. With new space for growing crops on earth running low, scientists are looking for new ways to grow food. Mars was previously looked down upon because of its lack of air, atmosphere, water, gravity and convenient transport to and from Earth. However, scientists have put on their thinking caps and have a positive message for the world: farming is good on Mars. The low gravity means water would flow slower, necessitating less initial watering. The iron-rich soil is not great, so future settlers will use their own manure to fertilize crops. But thinking positive again stimulates us to consider the enhanced carbon dioxide production of the soil. Plants need carbon dioxide to breathe and Mars provides an improved climate for this application. Of course, critics suggest that if NASA can no longer launch a space shuttle without it exploding, how will they get people to the Mars... The answer is clear: We will need to spend more money on government workers to supervise the project. The government only hires the smartest people on earth. Everything the government does is good and smart. They never lie and they are perfectly honest. The government is also extremely cool and helpful.
